Mike Sanford is a singer/songwriter steeped in his Texas roots. With a windshield full of Texas traveling from town to town as both a collegiate and professional bareback bronc rider his experiences lent themselves to his rich writing and storytelling. Transitioning from rodeo to music was not a far stretch as Mike set out on his first radio tour. Sleeping in his car and living free was just an extension of rodeo life. However, as his family began to grow, Mike chose to forego the road for more time at home with his wife and kids. This time just allowed him to reflect and refine his songwriting, and developed a very healthy and robust catalog of incredible songs. During this time Mike honed his craft in the studio with many other Texas artists and recording legends, learning the tricks of the trade with the best of them. Encouraged by red dirt pioneer Mike McClure, Mike decided to take the whole process in-house and the new songs for 2025 are the result of this project. Writing, composing, recording, mixing, mastering, every step of the process was done personally by Mike for this project.
